They seem to have a problem with religion in general. Aside from the occasional almost token defense of a person's religious rights they seem to try to stop them wherever possible.
I heard about one kid that they sued. It was a gay pride week at his school and he wore a shirt that said "Straight and proud of it." That was it, he didn't say anything or do anything. He was sued for tens of thousands based on hate crime charges.

to comprehend the ACLU, you will possibly desire to first look on the founding father of it. after all, it grew to become into the founder that initially everyday te handbook with which it grew into the abomination it fairly is on the instant. The founding father of the ACLU grew to become right into a communist and as such developed the business enterprise to strike on the inspiration of the yank subculture the place it would harm the main. It distorts the form and has pushed for extremely-liberal (a.ok.a. communist) perspectives via use of the courts. One occasion of that's its obsession with removing Christian morals and teachings. The do this via twisting the 1st modification via asserting "Separation of Church and State." the undertaking is that their is not any "separation of Church and State" in the form. I truthfully have often been informed that I might desire to be a spokesman for the ACLU as a results of fact i'm a solid supporter and defender of our shape. I might desire to describe that the ACLU isn't what it particularly is call portrays. it fairly is a company that helps and tries to sell communism. yet another subject is the hypocrisy of the ACLU. they're going to sue a school for coaching Christian values yet say not something approximately Islam (shown to be very risky) or atheism.

A great and desperately needed organization that receives my financial support. I agree with the majority of their causes, though not all. I'm especially pleased with the cases they've taken to protect freedom of conscience and the great American tradition of separation of church and state. One's religion or personal philosophy should be a matter of individual choice answerable only to one's own conscience. In order to protect everyone's right to choose and practice their own religion, the government should remain religiously neutral and neither provide benefits nor assert penalties because of one's beliefs.

What do you mean by "their methods?"

What would you prefer, they strapped bombs on their chests and blew up mosques?

The US is a nation ruled by laws, not by religion. The ACLU does their best to ensure the US remains a nation ruled by laws and not religion. But, now that the GOP has turned control of the US Supreme Court over to the pope, it will be an uphill battle.

They are an anti-american organization that seeks to take away religious and other freedoms while putting on the pretense of protecting rights.

They are anti-American communist. Their ultimate goal is the downfall of democracy in the United States. Fighting Christianity is just an issue With them. They believe if everyone thinks they are just after Christians, then they will have no opposition.

They pick and choose whose civil liberties they want to represent, and attempt to deny those of others. I like the idea behind the organization, but the execution leaves much to be desired.

I take them to allow everyone their viewpoint, no matter how personally pernicious or vindictive it is.

One of the reason they took such a bad hit in Skokie IL and supported the KKK and their right to have a parade through this prominently Jewish area.

They have a right to air their views, but it was openly provocative.

Apparently mcoutletman doesn't know the difference between the AFL-CIO and the ACLU. All those acronyms are confusing when they start with the same letter.
