Hi! I currently practice mixed martial arts in los angeles, but want to try a new school. Something in the Glendale/Pasadena/SilverLake/Hollywood area is ideal, weapons training is preferred.

Thanks!!

I can recommend Ed Parker's Kenpo Karate.
They have been producing good students for many years.
Their headquarters is in Pasadena
Call and ask about weapons training,I believe they cover this.

I'd go with Inosanto. He personally has a pretty good reputation in Martial Arts circles. He came from a background of FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) and JKD, but was doing BJJ before it was the 'in' thing to be doing. His academies will likely have different coaches specializing in different areas. They'll cover pretty much every range of hand to hand fighting. They also have MMA classes, so it's not likely you'll be getting any of the 'our art is the end-all be-all' BS you hear all too often. Further, with the FMA training you will get a solid base in blades and blunt weapons. Downside is that it's going to be expensive with a capital E. Second choice would be the Kajukenbo school. Like many martial arts styles in the US, Kajukenbo has had its quality control issues, but if their instructors are good then it's REALLY good. Systema I would stay away from, it's mostly kool-aid. The others seem to be traditional Japanese Jiujitsu places. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just usually nothing but compliant training. Above all, you want a place the spars hard and spars often. If all you do is practice on someone who doesn't resist then you'll never be able to pull the techniques off against someone who does. What are you looking to get out of this? I'm assuming self defense, but even if it is for sporting purposes the order of the answers don't change. It just makes Inosanto the only real option.
