Sesame Place in PA. I wanted to take mine and never got to, but I heard so many people talking and I saw tons of pics. It is like Disney, but with Sesame Street Characters. They have to love that.

A beach resort is usually a good idea. I visited the Far East recently and my 18 month old loved the sea and was busy for hours in the sand. If you do travel abroad then be careful with drinking water as young children lack immunity and can easily get sick with poor quality food and water which would just kill your vacation. Look for child friendly hotels with play areas and/or babysitting services. You could also hire a part time nanny to watch the kids while you relax. And always travel with a basic medical kit - Tylenol, bandaids, pedialyte etc.. G'luck!

I know what you mean... it's almost more work than it's worth to take small children on vacation. Do you have family or friends that live in an exciting and different place then where you live? You could stay with them and save money... and have a comfortable place to crash. Just be sure and do something nice for them so you will be invited back. Or you could do a trade and they could visit you all for vacation.

I live in Myrtle Beach and my kids are 2 1/2 and 2 months and we always have lots of fun here! We spend lots of time at the beach, and local attractions, and because this area is so popular there is always lots to do! Since your kids are young, it would be easier for you to vacation after or before the summer rush. September/October are GOREGOUS here, less heat and humidity and still great days for the beach, same with April and May, and sometimes June. There's also less traffic and population to fight with because most people have kids in school during those months. Hope you get to visit soon!

I took my 16 month old twins to a small zoo, and they loved it. The animals were close enough for the twins to really enjoy. Also, they were able to feed some of the animals, like the giraffes. It was a really good place to start.

I don't suggest Disney World, etc. just yet. I haven't taken any kids there personally, but I remember seeing MISERABLE little one and more miserable parents everytime I visited.

Good advice I was given was to check the "you have to be this tall" requirements for the places you are considering. This should be a good guide.

wherever you decide to go, make sure you are going for YOU as much as youa re going for your kids. Kids that age appreciate everything, and even a trip to the fire station to see the trucks can be a very exciting experience. make sure you go somewhere where you will be able to have fun, too. Bring a friend, your mother, or your partner along for backup, too. Keep the vacation short. some places that are fun: Disney world/Land, San Diego Zoo, a beach, the mountains. Keep it simple and short.

Last summer, I took my 3 & 1 year olds to the mountains in Wyoming and Colorado. There are tons of great things to see, elk, antelope, big mountains, cool rocks, maybe even some snow. It was a great trip and they both had a blast. It's not overly expensive, either. In fact, the only expense we had was a rental car. I highly recommend it.

Take them to a water park. That would be fun for the 3 yr old. If it is just you take them to grandmas so you can go off and have some time to yourself.

dont do anything that cost too much money, cuz to a kid that young, a vacation is always exciting, they dont care what you do. my parents had five kids and our vacations were always just to campgrounds less then 5 hours drive away. i would go nuts playing at different playgrounds and think it was awesome.
