when a man is talking to you and crosses his arms and puts his fists behind his arm and pushes trying to make his arms look bigger? Is it as obvious to the girls as it is to me? what do you think of a guy that does this?
Guys? why do you do that? Is it because you are intimidated by who you are talking to?

I think sometimes it's consciously done, othertimes not. Many species of creatures, stand taller, puff out feathers either in intimidation or to impress the opposite sex.

Crossing your arms when you talk is body language for closing yourself off. If someone feels intimidated or harassed or is unsure of his position, it is a common reaction. Good therapy for men (and women) who want to be more open is to get them to stop crossing their arms at others.

I hate that. I notice it more in pictures of guys, than in person.... When I see a picture of a guy where he's doing that, I think less of him.

So, if a guy IM's me and has a pic like that as his profile photo, it's very unlikely that I will message him back.
