Seems like this christian(or rather Pauline)"obey the law" command is UNAMERICAN.
The Declaration of Independence clearly states that people have a "right" to revolution and , in fact, it characterizes such revolution as a "duty". Since the US was founded via a revolt against the British throne and it laws, HOW CAN THE U.S. BE IN ANY WAY BE FOUNDED UPON "christian values". Eh?

Gottcha!!!!!!!!

We are to obey the law as long as it doesn't contravene God's law. God's law is above man's. The first thing most tyranical governments do is ban religion or enforce a certain religion. Both of these are against God's law, so at that point it is justified to revolt.

No "Gottcha!!!!!!!!", but circular reasoning.

the law Christians are to obey is the Law of GOD, not necessarily the law of the land. As Christians, we are to obey the law of the land SO LONG AS IT FOLLOWS THE LAW OF GOD. When it no longer adheres to a Godly way of life, we are to rise against it.

Got it?

The Declaration of Independence also clearly mentions God. You left that part out. Conveniently enough.

When you take the Name of Christ out of the name Christian, you are left with the letters IAN. Those letters stand for I Am Nothing without Christ. I am a Christian ,and I am someting because of Christ.

Too lazy to spell Christian or are you offended by that name?

I bet you didn't know America was supposed to be a republic, not a democracy.
