my lil sister is 6 and she came home one day asking what a **** is. she said she heard it from someone at school. how do i tell her? shud i tell her?

Tell her it is a word that unintelligent people use to describe the body part between her legs, and that some people use it to call people a mean name. Let her know that people who use the word are broadcasting to the world that they are mean and unintelligent people.

How does a 6 year old know that word? Just tell her it is a word that can hurt peoples feelings. Don't go on about it or tell her what it really means. Maybe she will just except what you say and forget about it. Unless she is hearing it used alot. If that's the case do not let her around these people. I would hope she is not hearing it at home.

Tell her that it is a cuss word, and that she should never say it because it is degrading to girls/women....which is what she is/what she will be. Furthermore, a more important question to me would be-Who in the hell is using that word around small children? I know it was probably a kid at her school that she heard it from, but I would want to know who has been saying it to/in front of that kid, and why.

Tell her it's a mean word that people like to call women when they are mad at them. Their's no reason to get in the biology unless that was the context in which she heard it. If need be tell her the basics, but gently...don't traumatize.

Just explain to her that it's a very dirty word and should be treated the same as any other curse word: it shouldn't be said by someone her age.

I think you should tell her that is a very ugly word and she shouldn't say it anymore. Don't give details as to what it is. She is young and that is what your parents are suppose to be talking to her about not you.

at her age you should tell her that it is a word that no lady should use, it is tasteless and shows no class especially if it comes out of the mouth of a woman that should do it for now.
