My opinion is the egg. Oh, and once me and my cousins got into a fight about this, so it makes me nervous to answer this, but i think the egg came first is because, mabye it was never really ment to be made in the first place and to different animals, u know, and had an egg, that turned out to be a chicken

The egg because(don't blame me if you are fundamentalist)Earlier bird species mated each other species and eventually they made an egg which was going to be a chicken.
