It is possible. You have gotten some misinformation in previous responses. In most solid organ transplants, the only criteria for matching is blood type and height, however, in kidney transplantation, there are also 6 other antigens that are matched. It is not necessary to match all 6 but the more the better. In a cadaveric donation, that is a deceased donor, if there is a potential recipient that matches all 6 antigens, that is consodered a perfect match and that person will get the kidney no matter where he actually is on the waiting list.
