I thought a parkway was the grassy area between the street and sidewalk in front of a home. If that is so then I don't think you are supposed to drive on a parkway.

same reason we buy life insurance. or take cough syrup, or join a group, etc. We can't seem to tell the difference, so why sweat it if you get where you want to go?
