The drug is one of the most popular, and most abused, painkillers in the country. It is habit-forming and can be extremely dangerous. As a prescription drug, it is restricted and thus illegal for any person to possess, pass or sell without a prescription from a recognized doctor.
The severity of the crime and potential sentences vary according to jurisdiction. You can find out simply by phoning the district attorney's office and asking - no need to cite your boyfriend's case, just say you have heard about this and want to know what is up.
As for you - sometimes events like this straighten out someone on the highway to trouble. Usually they do not. You need to think long and hard ab out having a boyfriend who is in trouble for dealing illegal substances, about the kind of people he keeps company with, and about his future. It may be - and in most but not all conditions, should be - a future without you ... if you're smart.

I am sure that you understand the CRJ process. Make sure that his parents hire a good
Attorney. By getting a lawyer, it will not get him off the charges but perhaps reduce the sentence.
I said that because he was in the procession of an illegal substance that is automatically guilty.
Other than that I do not know what else to say but to have him goes through the wonderful steps of criminal justices.
Oh... Maybe on his court date, ask him to cry like a baby... perhaps the judge will be soft- hearted and dismiss the charge(s)
I doubt it!

That's a lot of Oxy. Trafficking usually gets some jail time. Depends on the circumstances and his criminal record.
What do you do? Stay away from him. Most people don't need to ask "my boyfriend is in jail on drug trafficking charges-what do I do" questions.

You need to take a much closer look at your choice of boyfriends. If this appears like it is going to be the norm, then you would be best to move on down the road as fast as your legs will take you. Life's troubles will find you, don't do anything to attract more trouble.

At least you aren't married and hopefully don't have a kid with this guy. Lose him.
And in my experience, although I respect law enforcement personnel, I have never known them to be so competent that they arrested someone their first offense!
Don't kid yourself, he has done these sorts of things before, he has been lying to you about the dealing, what else has he lied about?

Because it is his first offence, if he has a good lawyer, he should get out with a slap on the wrist. It is as illegal to sell prescription drugs to people to whom it wasn't prescribed for, as it is to sell illegal drugs. I hope he learns from his mistake.

Yeah, it's hillbilly heroin. Find a new boyfriend before you land in jail with him. There's no such thing as a "one time deal", he just happened to get caught this time.

Oxycontin is a controlled prescription pain kill and is considered a narcotic. If he has not record he will probably not go to jail this time. There is not much you can do about it yourself. Just let him know how stupid getting involved in this is.

Ditch the boyfriend while he's incarcerated and find a good, law abiding person to call your boyfriend.
