Sweetie,
Cramps and pelvic area pains are NORMAL. You may or may not have them on every period..actually there are over twenty different side effects with periods such as backaches, nausia, vomitting, sleepiness, odd cravings, etc. You can read about it all on line. As you have more periods you will learn more about your body, how you can help yourself but one thing is a MUST, "REST and avoid stress". Avoid heavy exercises esp. during the first days. Keep yourself hydrated, drink tea or mint tea with good amount of sugar or chocolate. Avoid drinking coffee as it adds stress. You can try pain killers with ibubrophen as they relax the muscles esp in the stomach and pelvic area. Luke warm daily showers help too. Try to study/google more about your sexual-reproductive health. You will have the right info and know what exactly happens in your body and you won't be worried for nothing. You can also go to www.ippf.org and clik on Regions, Decide which region you live in and find the FPA working closest to you. There you will find lots and lots of young people like you who are helping/educating other young people about this stuff and more. Good Luck.

Woah, you missed 2 periods and in 2 1/2 weeks you should be starting what would have been your 3rd period. Well if you have been stressing out over stuff, that can cause you to miss a period, if you are sexually active and had intercourse unprotected there could be a chance that you may be pregnant. Call your doctor and ask him/her if your situation is normal (remember every women's body is different). Just try to calm down for a couple of days and forget about your missed period, it wont come if you are stressing yourself too much about it. Hope ya get to bleedin soon. Cramping sucks.

My doctor told me that sometimes your body can skip a period because of stress or hormones or what not. Don't worry it has happened to me before. Plus the cramps are a sign that it is coming to relax. Think positive!! You're lucky you don't have to deal with it right now!

yes it is normal to have cramps up to 2 weeks before your period, and then the duration of your period. it's just your body preparing.
