Who cares what you look like; that is so lame!! You spend good hard $$$ to a nice hair-do for a particular event, then it rains; use whatever is handy so you can go to the function with a nice do!! If you happen to have a 'rain bonnet' that saves the day!!

Why does the younger generation (it seems) worry about being unreasonable in the face of practicality of the moment!! In a case like this you can sit for 2 or 3 hours in a beauty shop getting your style, color just right; then Mother Nature tries to ruin what you spent time & money!!

Why not just use an umbrella.

Every time I see a plastic rain bonnet I think of my 80 year old grandmother!

I have used an umbrella, newspaper, scarf, and yes, even those plastic rain bonnets.
Now, I have a hair style that if it should ever get wet, I merely need to run my fingers through it and TA-DA!!

I have family members that use plastic bags.

I just pull my hair back in a ponytail and take my chances with the weather.

I prefer the Jackie O look with a large brimmed hat or the Audrey Hepburn look of a black scarf if it is merely windy or I'm riding in our convertible.
