It kind of an embarrassment. Americans seem to think their better than people in other countries as if their not human. "god bless the USA" We're all for democracy and a government by the people in the US. However, when it comes to other countries we like to tell them what to do. We try to make big changes without learning anything about their culture first. Its a big country so I don't think anyone really feels responsible for what the goverment does. We have one of the lowest voter turnouts of any modern democracy. I think the size leads to a government that can't change very rapidly and meet the needs of its people.
War is an abstract concept.
Other countries hire well qualified scholors for leaders while we pic frat boy cowboys.

Image? Lots of brave, hard working people who risked everything to come from around the world to make a new life. Ideals which we do not always live up to, but which have helped mankind move forward to greater justice and freedom. The Lincoln Memorial, and the words inscribed there.

I think about the Veterans and the active duty soldiers that actually are the real Americans because they fight for the right to be an American all every one else is just lucky to be born in America and support those who has or is serving and I applaud them for their courage.....all hail the Red White and Blue Land that I Love!!!!
