Everyone is always screaming about how evil and bad Satan is. What is your justification and/or proof of this?

I think Satan is actually good. Here is my logic. God put us in the Garden of Eden. We had no knowledge of Good or Evil. There was no joy because there was no sadness.

Satan convinced Eve that in order to know Good and in order to acheive happiness she had to eat the fruit. Satan against God because God wanted everyone to be stupid and praising Him continually. Satan wanted us to know both good and evil.

He wanted us to be like God. God wanted to keep us repressed. Hold us to an inferior level.

No wonder so many angels rebelled with Satan. 1/3. The other 2/3 were too scared of God and didn't dare rebel. They preferred to be passive and subservient.

what is the proof that there actually is a being called Satan is a better question. Who is he and where did he come from? He in not mentioned in the bible believe it or not. The word satan means adversary and comes from the Hebrew word sathan, it is not a name. This is the reason Christ calls peter a satan in the NT, he is simply calling him an adversary for standing against him in what he had to do. The idea that Satan is a fallen angel of some sort comes for the apocrypha (Jewish Folklore) and if you are going reference that piece of literature you will have to start believing in dragons and giants also because they are in there along with the fallen angels.

What even says Satan is real? We only go by religious beliefs. Dating back to when organized religion began, we always have had good gods and goddesses that seem to have an antagonist(s) who puts obstacles in the way. Through time, Satan has developed into a character that has real feelings and an ongoing jealousy of God.

The story goes that Satan was the best of all of God's angels, but not as perfect and as pure as God. Satan became a fallen angel who was once God's right hand man and secretly wanted to be God. He betrayed God. Forced war upon him, and lost to Michael and his angels. Satan's punishment was sending him and the angels that sided with him to an eternal abyss on earth. Having pure hatred towards God, he afflicts pain and suffering towards man on earth. He knows this is the only way he can test God, for man is God's greatest creation. God, being as perfect as he is, lets Satan do this because it's a test on us to show God our faith to enter his kingdom. God lets us have free will because we ate the forbidden apple in the garden, so he doesn't want those who choose a life of wickedness to enter heaven. He wants the people who chose to have faith and be strong against the pitfalls that Satan puts into our lives to enter his kingdom. He wants us to show goodwill towards others. The same way an athlete puts his/her body against the training and pitfalls of their sport to be the best in their sport. The reward is knowing you made it because you worked hard and didn't give up.

Some would say that Satan and God are a symbol of the eternal good and bad we show day to day in our lives. The whole good vs. evil complex. Whatever Satan symbolizes, biblically or mentally, he embodies what evil represents in our lives.

Satan is an Angel of the Lord doing God's will. He will be destroyed in the lake of fire on judgment day due to his rebellion though.

" I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, AND CREATE EVIL: I the Lord do all these things." Isaiah 45:7

Church goers blame everything on Satan because they don't believe God would hurt them. Don't hold it against them though because they are blind to God's truths due to the brainwashing by their ministers of light (preachers).

To the answerer that mentioned Ezekiel 28, you need to read verse 2 and you will see that the chapter is talking about the king of Tyrus not Satan, your church has deceived you.

We believe that Satan is evil because "they" tell us he is.
If you believe in the idea of the existance of a being called Satan then you must believe the writings of the Bible that refers to his evil presence as a fallen angel that is the enemy of mankind.

That is the ony reason people think he is bad. The only other way to know for certain is to actually meet him.

Satan IS bad! why? Cause he sucks on guitar! Why? Take a look and listen to every one of those crappy "Black Metal" bands running around claiming they are so heavy. They're all influenced by Satan , and they all suck. Done.

The proof is he got kicked out of heaven because he thought he was better than God - you can't get any more evil than that - God is love - Satan is hate.

Satan ( devil) is actualy a perfection since was hand made by GOD him self.
He is healthy, he is the most beatifull and so on...
Since GOD does not make msitakes and every work of Genocidal god is a perfection than Devil is the perfection so by defenition he can't be bad.
Only primitive Christians can assume that they are better than Devil but in reality Christians are descendants of Noah who was dranked and naked in front of his sons while Devil is creation of the creator.

Poor Christians , and than they assume that god wants every idiot in the heaven. Imagine heaven full of idiots? Wow.
