odds are no. Fleas really don't like being on humans for extended periods of time I think you would have felt them on you. You are more apt to have fleas in your own yard, that jumped on you, and came in with you.

Fleas can jump on you or your clothing and YES you can bring them home to your pets.
Someone also tried to tell me that cat and dog fleas were different.
This is not true.

Some one picked up fleas from some where, and brought them into my mother's house; and she didn't even have a cat. I am told that fleas can live in the grass, and jump on a person just as fast as an animal.

Yes, definitely. It is really easy to spread fleas. I would recommend getting Advantage Plus from your vet. We have a cat and a dog. And our dog goes outside, and we have no problems with fleas at all. Anything in the stores, do not work. But, the stuff from the vet works, and will help to keep it from spreading in your home.

Yes, that is how my dog got fleas, just go to petsmart or petco or any other pat store around your house and buy a shampoo that kill fleas, ticks and misquitos in about 1 day your cat will be fine.

I certainly think so! I have NO pets and always end up with fleas in my house from friends' animals I've came into contact with at other locations...... totally sucks.

ABSOLUTELY. You will need to spray your car, wash your clothes, and treat your cat immediately to try and nip this problem in the bud. One flea can cause a heap of trouble for you.
