In all actuality we're more likely to have another Sept. 11 by staying in Iraq. You see the terrorist are really pissed off about past injuries or percieved injuries done to them by us. That's why Sept. 11 happened in the first place. Al Queda wasn't even in Iraq until AFTER we got there. Now they're all over the place in Iraq. What is also interesting is that military intelligence believes that most of the terrorists that are attacking our troops are from Saudi Arabia which is supposed to be an ally of ours. The sooner we get the hell out of Iraq the better.

I don't think that the presence of troops in Iraq would affect 9/11 copycat attacks one way or another.

No matter what you do, somebody will probably still strap a bomb to themselves or put one in their car and blow up something. Even if EVERYBODY in Israel got up and left and the Palestinians took over, that probably would not be the end of terrorism.

Will there be another terrorist attack on US soil? Probably. There was the Oklahoma City (?) Federal Building by US terrorists before 9/11. People in our government and others are working hard at this very moment to minimize this risk, but you can only do so much.

I wish that people would use MORE PRECISE attack patterns if they chose to fight at all and would leave most of us out of the fights to the extent possible. Who starts a World War on everybody to be religious and political dictator of the world and uses terrorist tactics on the whole world? I hope I get to meet that guy and that he is uncaptured so that I can B****SLAP HIM for it. "That is what I thought about your 9/11."

Iraq has more to do with stabilizing the middle east than fighting terrorism. Pulling troops out of Iraq before the Iraqi security forces are ready to handle the insurgents (90% of whom are NOT Iraqi) on their own will be disastrous for the Iraqi people. We will just end up going back over there and starting over. The terrorist know they are losing ground, that is why they are upping the occurrences. They only know how to lead through intimidation. There methods are archaic and tired.

Another 9/11 may happen whether or not the troops are pulled. They are constantly looking for weakness's and we are doing a crappy job of keeping them from just walking across our borders.

I hope and pray we dont pull our troops out of Iraq until the Iraqi government is fully capable of handling the insurgency problem. If we pull out too soon, there will be a civil war, and all of our efforts will be wasted.

Since the President has spread terrorism worldwide and inflamed anti-American feelings, the odds are we will have to be forever vigilant.

However, if he were to redploy the assets being squandered in Iraq back to trying to find the people who perpetrated 911, we could perhaps deal a crushing blow to al Qaeda.
