...move back to where they were born or where their parents where born? Everyone wants to move to America. I understand because you are more free here to do or say anything. I think that in a couple centuries a lot of Americans will move back to where they came from. I was born in Europe and I miss my home contry. Its too stressfull at times here in America. My husband and I want to move back in 4 or 5 years. Of course we will still visit America. What do you think? Do you think you would move back to your contry someday?

my family is doing that now.

i have aunts, uncles, and cousins came from my mother's country to the US to come and work and build a better life.

my grandmother recently retired, sold her house, and moved on back, took the money she recieved for the house, and built a new one down Dominican Republic.

All my family plans on returning to home!

Well, I'm a born and bred American, but I grew up in Seattle, lived there for my first nineteen years and then moved to Florida. So while I can't say I'd go back to my parents' country because it's America, I'd go back to Seattle in a heartbeat. In fact, my husband and I are working on paying off the debts we have to get ready to buy a house, and most likely we're going back to Seattle in a couple of years at most.

I was born here and my parents were born here. In fact, my grandparents, their parents and their parents were born here. Exactly how far back should I go in history and since I am a big mix what country should I choose? This is my country and I'm staying here.

yes. I may move back to Georgia. But my ancestors came from Europe and none of them went back. Most folks will do as we do and just go where the wind may blow us.

But hey. Where ever I am I will always be here on the Internet, whispering sweet nothings in your ear.

Good luck with your moves where ever they take you.

as an asian I would love to go back and live there for a time. but being raised here gives me more american-ess. i am more aware and familiar with these surroundings than I would back in my own country. people here who are "americans" will never leave their place simply bcuz it is home to them. not being a foreigner, even though their ancestry is, they have no connection with their european roots.

Well, lessee...I was born in Bay City...no, don't think I'll move back there. My mother was born in Houston...no, hell no. I hate Houston.

Nope...doesn't look like it. I'll stay in Austin.
