im using windows xp and suddlenly just before five minutes.. my hard drives D: , E: , F: , G: , had disappered.. i see only C: .. I dont know wat happened?. i see only C: hard drive.. i also restarted the computer

Are D E F G drives physically on that computer or were they mapped network drives? Are D E F G partitions on the same drive? Are they on the same drive as C. Are they each seperate drives?

Answers to these questions would help.

i would go into bios settup first to see if they are physically detected then go from there. if theyre not physically detected check ur power connections and cables or that ur ide card is plugged in if ur using that. if they are physically detected then try uninstalling the ide/sata drivers and rebooting...maybe try loading them again. at that point if theres still a problem i would look at them in a partitioning app like acronis or partition magic to see what the app tells me about them...if they still dont show up i would start to think virus maybe...or if all the partitions are on one drive that the drive went bad or got corrupted...

right click MY computer>>properties>>system restore

check whether u r able to see ur drives else restore ur system

start button
all programs
accessories
system tool
system restore
and follow directions

find out more information about your hdd partitions

right click at my computer > manage > storage > disk management
