I teach high schoolers, and I can't tell you how many of them stay in relationships because they honestly believe they will be together forever. But you seem intelligent enough to realize that isn't true. It's hard to think of him moving on with someone else, but if you are unhappy, you shouldn't stay in the relationship just to keep him from being with someone else.

And since you bring up the sex topic... my guess is you've been fighting about having sex. He wants it, you don't feel ready. If you are not ready, don't do it. Even if that means he is going to go have sex with another girl, let him go. I've read hundreds of essays from female students about how much they regret having sex because it's not enough to hold on to a relationship, anyways. And so many of them end up pregnant. I don't want you to end up like them.

Figure out the reason you're arguing and resolve the problem, and if it's because of a lack of sex, then move on, you deserve to have someone to love you until you're completely ready.

So you're unhappy and you don't want to change it for the sole reason that you put about six months into, which isn't really that much time. But for some reason you're asking for advice or something you've already decided. Bravo.

Still in high school and looking for marriage? does HE look for marriage? maybe he's got other plans and designs (college, job, future) how would you fit in all this? re-consider your thoughts and make the right decision.
