I've had a Nikon N65 for a few years and the only problem I ever have with it is loading the film. Besides that, I find it to be a good camera. I'm graduating next year and I plan to take more photography classes in college and I thought I could upgrade to a nicer camera (maybe more professional). Can anyone recommend some? Thanks!

I have a Nikon N65 and I *love* it. I can use it in one of the preset modes, or just choose manual mode and have fun setting the aperture and shutter speed myself. Sometimes, though, you don't have time to calculate those yourself, so the Nikon N65 is excellent because you can put it in either aperture or shutter priority, and the camera will change either the shutter speed or the f/stop accordingly. If you aren't interested in digital for the moment, I'd say keep it. From your question, it sounds like you are a high school student. A N65 is great for the kind of photography classes you take in high school. If you really want to spend some money, get yourself a better lens, if the one you have doesn't satisfy you. If your lens is as good as your camera, wait until you take photography classes in college, and save money to buy a good digital camera instead. Colleges usually offer a couple b&w photography classes, and a couple color photography classes, and after that you shoot digital.

Nikon, Canon and Leica all have fine lenses. Do you want film or digital? I just purchased a Canon S2 digital with an 12x focusing and an f2.6 lens. Look at the cameras on Amazon.com and read comments from users.

Nikon cameras are excellent cameras regardless of the modal. I happen to have several cameras. Among them are two Cannon EO5's. One is American made and the other is European made. Both are outstanding and extremely easy to use. You might be able to get a decent trade in toward a Cannon. Check it out first before making a decision. Good Luck.
