How do I prevent numbers from truncating in Excel when they are opened from a CSV document?

I import CSV files into Excel regularly. I don't think they should import truncated. After you have imported, have you tried clicking on the table-select button which will select all, then click Format, Column, Autofit? This should expand the columns to the size of the longest entry in the column.
