The perfect girl is one you can feel comfortable BEING YOURSELF around. If you find yourself trying to mask things, she's not for you. Soon, you'll end up looking really unsure about things and bam, you get dumped.
As for looks, it really depends. I'm not sure how important looks are but they're surely a slight factor that every guy keeps in mind. I do at least.
So in order - trust, personality, and looks. Most important factors.

Well it goes something like this for ME:
1. Is she good looking in any way at all: if no, do not date her!
2. Does she like you: if you are absolutly sure the answer is yes, keep going down the list.
3. Does she tend to only like guys for a little bit then dump them: if yes, get as emotionally far away from her as possible!
4. Is she embarassed to like you: if yes, do not date her
5. Does she like to do the same things that you like to do: if yes, she is perfect! If no, then find whatever you can that the two of you have in common.

There isn't one factor that is the end all be all of liking a woman. The combination of characteristics is what counts. I think cute (in her own way), caring, compassionate, loyal and honest are the most important characteristics.

She's GOT to have personality. Looks are fleeting, honey, personality lasts a lifetime. And, of course, there's GOT to be some sort of chemical spark. If I feel good around her, that's much more important than physical stuff. Something that always does it for me is her confidence in herself. If she's self assured, I'm always curious why? What makes her so hot?

Once you get past the hump of sexiness and attraction? Personal integrity, charm, and grace. Smarts doesn't hurt either.
