first of all DO NOT start aiming left to comensate. it will only make things worse.
start by relaxing your grip pressure.
alot of people slice becauseafter they strech the muscles in thier back on the down swing, they violently contract those muscles on the downswing. don't try to get your power from there. it should be more like shooting an arrow from a bow. get that stretch going in the backswing and then just "let go."
it might also help you to put a head cover about 2 inches away from the ball parallel to the target line. if you hit the head cover then you are turning your shoulders too soon. let them lag behind your hip turn and hit the ball first.
if this works then you can start to enjoy the wonders of hooking them real bad!!
good luck!!

this may sound dumb but other than changing your stroke, try to accurately aim that slice then change you stance to aim a little more to the left. If you can aim more to the left and get your slice on the fairway then you'll have an awesome draw shot... Remember everyone who plays golf has a different approach to the game and a different stroke. but if your driving long and hitting the fairway then that's all that counts...lol

on your grip...take your right thumb and move it over to the left side of the grip. Then turn your left hand IN to the right. Then turn your right hand IN to the left. Make slight adjustments until you have found a straight shot.

Also be sure to swing smooth - don't overswing. That generally will end up with the clubhead being behind your hands and hitting the ball entirely wrong.

I did too, until I tried an unorthodox swing.

I am right handed. I put my left foot even with the ball and my right foot back and semi relaxed (almost like a baseball swing). The ball flies straight every time now.

1) Close the face of the club slightly
2) Move your forward foot towards the ball (close your stance)
3) When gripping your club, move your upper thumb slightly in the direction of your lower hands palm
4) When you follow through, make sure your swing completes its rotation completely and maintian your balance after your shot

Give up golf. Its not really worth the time or the money required to do it right.

Try an offset driver and slow your swing down. If that doesn't work, I'll custom build you a set of clubs...bob
