firstly, there are signs all around you.
secondly, do you really think we came from monkeys?
if we evolved from monkeys, then why are there stil monkeys?
just think about how vast the universe is?
did it all start from a so called 'big bang' ?
even if it did, what or who was before that?

thirdly it would be a good idea for you to get a good bible.

its all about faith.
he has given you a choice to either go to heaven or to hell.
its up to you.
and its not just about being good on Sundays!

it wouldnt be like God to show everyone he is here & boast with
his powers. then you wouldnt have any choices to make, as you would know he was here & then you would become a follower,
only because you have seen him for yourself.
that is why he is so fair, he gives you choice, he doesnt dictate.
he wants you to have faith in him, & live the right way.

remember, he doesnt need you.
WE NEED HIM.

love Gary

The best way I can try to explain in my own opinion is that when God was with us on the earth many miracles were performed. Signs and wonders happened right before the eyes of the people. However, even proof that God existed wasn't enough for them. They still turned their backs on Him. One scripture I can use to illustrate would be this, "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' " Luke 16:31. Even if someone were to rise from the dead before the eyes of thousands, millions, etc. the people would still scoff and doubt that God exists. You also have to take into account that God isn't a showman. He doesn't perform for us like a trick monkey. God is so powerful He could wipe the whole universe out with the blink of an eye, yet He doesn't because He wants that no one should perish, but be saved and have a relationship with Him. He is holding back His wrath until the day of judgement. For that, we should all be thankful.

Open your eyes and your ears, sit in a garden, look around. The signs are everywhere. It's up to you whether or not you believe, but you may consider the complexity of all the living animals, birds, fishes, organisms, the vastness of the universe, the rotation of the earth and other planets, the mathematical perfection of the way it all hangs together as an interacting system, the complexities of your own thought processes, and your ability to make choices, and then wonder if all this could be possible just as some kind of accident.

Because the most precious thing we possess is free will. If God proved his existence to the world conclusively, then people will act with kindness to everyone, not because they want to, but because they do so to secure a good place in the next life.

Where is lesson in that? Far better to leave the question open and let people act as they believe they should, if they live a life of kindness, then the lesson has been truly learned, and kind acts not carried out in the expectation of a reward.

Oh oh oh.... He gives you signs every day!!! You just don't notice them. Some signs have absolutely no way to be explained by science, like being touched by the hand of god, so you'll just have to take my word for it.
And other signs, like a tsunami or hurricane, can be explained by science but I've decided that it was God who made it instead so, again, just take my word for it.
I mean thats all faith is. I tell you what to believe and you believe it. Even if science proves differently. Just like every day you wake up alive is all thanks to God. You had no part in it. You might as well not do a thing with your life because God already has your life planned out for you.

Good question. Previous responders' answers are nonsense -- the signs cited are signs of the existence of things, but by no means are they signs of the existence of a god who meddles in current affairs, desires to be worshipped, or cares about anything. The Mormons had an opportunity: if the golden plates existed, they ought to be on display in Salt Lake City so that scholars could examine them and see if Joseph Smith's purported translation made sense. They aren't.

God gives us signs everyday, all day long. Many people simply choose not to accept them. Or think that it can't possibly be from God. That feeling you get in your gut, the thoughts in your head, your feelings and emotions...where do you think those all come from? God sends us messages in SO many ways, daily! The things we see, hear and experience are all messages from God. Be aware. The next song you hear, the next person you talk to. Or heck, maybe even the next answer you get on Y!A, could be a sign from God. Be open to accepting communication and you will receive it.

There are signs. Look at how bad things are and how blessed you are to still be among the land of the living. In the last days the bible says men will become lovers of themselves and the people love will wax cold. God wants us to have faith in him and faith is the substance of things hope the evidence of things not yet seen. He is real... The next time your back is up against the wall, call on him and see if he shows up in the nick of time.

Wanna know what I did to increase my faith? I was in high school at the time and it always seemed to work every single time. I use to pray in my art class and look out the window and ask to show me He was there by making the sun shine even when it was raining. Even in the winter time when the sky was overcast.
Every single time, the sun managed to pop through even if it was brief and it happened every single time I would ask God to show me He was with me.
So I have no doubt that it you really want to know and you're searching bad enough, all you have to do is ask for a little sign and He will reveal Himself to you.

As you can see, anything is a sign and is considered verifiable proof to the sheeple that fall prey to religion. People have believed their Gods have given them signs since the first Gods roamed the imaginations.
