Long dress = All the way up
Short dress = down
Medium length = Half up kind of style
Those are the basic guide lines for when deciding what to do with your hair.
I think you should have it down, but then bring up the sides with a couple of bobby pins or clips, to bring the hair out of your face. Or you could part your hair in it's natural part, and then bring some of the hair up with the bobby pins. You need to give it a bit of volume. (if you want, & your dress isn't too loud already, you could put a small white flower where you bring up the hair, just to set if off...)
You can't go wrong with anything you do, seeing your dress is probably the main focus. Good luck.

Try a low bun or ponytail and make the rest of your hair sleek, try parting it to the side not in the middle. You could even tie in a white head band or thin scarf and have placed just behind your bangs, like Paris Hilton does. Look at some of her photos. You'll know what I mean

part it to one side, then put it in a low pony tail. Take a section from the underside of the tail and wrap it around the base of the tail, tie the hair in a "knot", then tuck the loose end into the hair tie on the underside. Smooth any leftover "end" into the rest of the pony tail. Practice it, it's fairly easy and will look sleek and dressy, without having to do too much work.

as your head would be covered being bride, you only have to style your uncovered head more. get some work on it like some kind of weaving style would be good. for straight hair, get good shampoo with conditioner or smothener would do.
happy marriage.

You could curl it. Curl your hair around a curling iron to make ringlets, and hairspray hairspray hairspray! It looks great, especially with thick hair. You may want to get someone to help you though. It takes forever.
