I never got the bulls eye rash which is why I was so stunned to find out that I had this disease. The doctor told me some people do not get the rash. I went to the doctor because I thought my thyroid disease had returned and that is when she had me go for a blood test for the Lymes disease and actually did a full blood workup to make sure everything else in my body was okay, which it turned out was all fine, thank goodness. Thanks for all your replies and help with this. I am really worried about having this, and I am supposed to go to Florida next week for a few days to visit my elderly parents. I hope I am somewhat feeling better so I can still go.

How long have you had Lyme Disease? Did the doctor tell you? What were your other symptoms of it? Did your doctor prescribe anything for it? My oldest niece had Lyme Disease a few years back and the doctors didn't diagnose her right away. By the time they figured out what she had, it was too late to give her any medications for it. So with her mom being a Physical Therapist, she worked on her daughter's legs and arms and feet to combat the stiffness that often comes with Lyme Disease.

If you don't have symptoms of these but have other symptoms, may I suggest you tell your doctor and ask him or her if it is okay for you to go visit your folks. Your parents won't pick up the disease it isn't contagious. Just a nuisance by times.

Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon!

I had lyme disease in 2000 and The Dr.'s told me it was very rare that I had the bulls eye. Just be aware that you can also get meninjitas from Lyme disease. I came down with it about 2 weeks after I got sick from Lyme disease. GoodLuck!

The doctor told my dad (who was just dx) that he should be ok, b/c he took the antibotics within a month of being bit. Were you prescribed antibotics?
