And I was really ill feeling for almost 24hrs. I could hardly swallow once I got back on land and I was dizzy.

Maybe a couple of hours, depending on how long you were off land. I went sailing for 6 hours and was "land sick" for about an hour after I got off the boat.

i went on a glass bottom boat looked through the glass then I started to get sick. This was after my GF warned me not to look though it too much. I spent 20 minutes on my knees in the washroom then baptized the side of the boat on the way off. I was OK in an hour.

My first and only bout with it lasted a couple of hours after I returned to dry land. I wasn't feeling too bad after i sat down for about 1/2 hour but that queasiness lasted about two hours.

Everybody's body works and acts differently. Some people may be okay in a few minutes, or some in a few hours while some may not feel better for a day or so. It all depends what your body is used to.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

For me it sometimes will go away shortly if I have only been at sea for a few hours, however, when I was on a cruise, I felt seasick for 2 nights when laying down in my bed.
