God made Man and Woman with sexual organs. He does not make filthy things. Why is it that some Protestant denominations seem to see even married sex as a dirty, sinful, thing? We Catholics see it as a gift from God that represents the Love He has for us.

Sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage where it becomes a sign and pledge of spiritual communion. The union of husband and wife achieves a two-fold end: the good of the spouses themselves and the transmission of life. These two meanings or values of marriage cannot be separated without altering the couple's spiritual life and compromising the good of marriage and the future of the family.

Numerous times in the Old Testament God refers to Israel as an unfaithful wife. The Church is called the Bride of Christ. Men are called to love their wives as Christ loved the Church.

I do not believe in discussing bedroom activities in public either but I have read many question referring to things like Original Sin and sex, or that if Eve hadn't eatent the fruit no one else would have been born.

You are so right and sex is not a sin. It is a sin to have it before marriage. God created it for us to give to our wife or husband as the most precious girft of love one can give. But now it has become a trend that teens think is okay. But it's not, we should obey God and thank him for the gift and not abbuse it.

In the beginning, there was no need for sex. We were originally made without sin which means no reason for lustful thoughts. In fact, it was not until Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge did they realize they were "naked". After the sin was committed, God decreed (spelling) that if a man and woman were going to have sex that they should be married and have it as something special to show each other, but only between the two of them.

Well, I'm a Christian and I don't believe sex between a man and his wife is dirty or sinful. I can't really tell you why some people would because I haven't personally met anyone ever that supported the notion that sex between a married couple is filthy.

You talking about dirty love, like some nasty poodles do???

Sex is a gender. Lust is a sin. Confusing them causes sex education efforts to fail in the US because prudish conservatism rules over just the facts ma'am knowledge transfer.

Need proof: look at how many questions regard getting pregnant on this site...

The more we make of it the more it is suppressed and wrapping religion around it doesn't help.

not all Protestant denominations see sex in this way.
And I have to add, I think it depends on which church you belong to. I grew up Catholic and was taught more along the lines that you are saying that Protestants teach ... that sex is something dirty, or to just be tolerated rather than enjoyed.

I have to add that I agree with what you said above ... sex in it's God-ordained context is a gift

Well, all christians are nuts, that's why. Secondly, your afterpoint about marriage is equilly nuts, as marriage is older than christianity, and marriage has little to do with sex, although if sex isn't enough of a part of somebodies marriage, that is a marriage in trouble.

PS Same sex marriage is also older than christianity as well.

Because sex is part of human nature and as we all know the vast majority of Christian denominations sees anything that's human nature as dirty and sinful. Technically we're sinning even when we're using the bathroom. It's messed up, I know.
