"God is a spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24) Our worship must be spiritual but it must also be according to truth.
Cain and Abel were both offering sacrifices to God, a form of worship in the Old Testament. Abel's was by faith, Cain's was not. (Genesis 3, Hebrews 11:4) Without faith it is imposible to please God (Heb. 11:6). Since faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17), and Abel worshiped by faith, it can be concluded that God must have told them what He wanted. They were both worshiping, but Abel worshiped according to truth (God's word). Cain did not and his worship was rejected.
Nadab and Abihu were both worshiping, but they were using a fire that God had not authorized. Even though they were worshiping, it was not pleasing to God and he punished them with their life. (Lev. 10:1-2)
Jesus said of some, “In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine the commandments of men”. They were worshiping, but it was “vain”, or useless, because they were worshiping according to the commandments of men. It mattered how they were worshiping.
Jesus said he has “all authority” and the apostles were to teach the things he had commanded them (Matt 28:18-20). If we follow the authority (instructions) of men in our worship, then does Christ have all authority in our lives? Most is not the same as all. Who has the authority in your religion?
Paul wrote that his “hearts desire and prayer” was for some to be saved. Those he was speaking of had “a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.” They were “ignorant of God’s righteousness” and were “seeking to establish their own righteousness”. They were not worshiping according to truth.
Yes, according to the Bible, it does matter how we worship!
We should be satisfied to worship God in the way His word instructs. We should not add to the word of God, take away from it, or distort it. (Deut. 4:2, Deut 12:32, Prov 30:5-6, Galatians 1:6-9, Rev. 22:18-19, 1 Cor 4:6, 2 John 9, et al)
Like it says in Numbers 22:18, "I could not go beyond the word of the Lord my God to do less or more!" We should be satisfied to worship as God's word has instructed.

David did not dance naked to worship God. Both the account at 1 Chronicles 15 and 2 Samuel 6 show that David was clothed in a linen rob when he danced with joy because of the return of the Ark of the Covenant. His dancing showed his happiness concerning the Ark, but he was not worshiping.
And yes, according to the Bible, God does care how people worship him. At Joshua 24:14, we read the command to the Israelites to remove the gods they had served in Egypt and to serve Yahweh in truth and faultlessness. That meant a change, did it not? That meant God cared how his people worshiped him, did it not?
Since God does not change, he clearly has standards today even as he did then.

To be quite honest with you, and to say with no shame in me whatsoever, it depends on the believer, and how extreme the level they want to take the worship to.
Take the Islamic Terrorists - they worship god and their prophet, Allah, by blowing themselves up (an ol' fashioned kamikaze).
But, no it doesn't matter.
All that should matter is if you believe, commit a bit of self-sacrifice, all those basic essentials.

No. As long as it's real worship- that is, you're actually focusing on Him.
I myself don't mind singing in church and our worship service is very lively, but singing doesn't appeal to me; I get distracted rather easily. I try to give Him honor in everything I do though. Sometimes the best form of worship is to LIVE it out.

I believe that as long as you believe in what the Bible says and not just the parts you like but the whole thing and if you believe in God the Father and Jesus and the Holy Spirit I don't think it matters weather you believe they are one altogether or if they are all three in one and if you are obeying what it says in the Bible then there is no way to go wrong

No. Nor, for that matter, whether. The notion that there is a God who desires to be worshipped is an anthromorphism, and if you think about it, really rather silly, But you probably won't think about it.

No. I mean, if god exists, I don't think he/she/it minds. But I always felt like, is god so egotistical that if you don’t worship him, he’ll turn his back on you?
I do believe in a higher power or "god" of some sort but not one that has to be worshipped.

As long as it's done in the spirit of praising God for what he's done for you and not "with lipservice as menpleasers" I'm sure God doesn't care. The Scripture says that "He inhabits the praises of His people", so I'm sure he enjoys it very much! It even says our prayres are like "a sweet-smelling savour" to Him, so go ahead, praise Him, serve Him, sing for Him, and most of all, LOVE HIM!

God looks on the heart
God seeks those who worship Him in spriit (with the heart) and in truth (the mind and in accordance with reality)
the style is probably the least important

I think God cares.
It is not about how we want to worship God.
It is about how God cares to be worshipped.
If it didn't matter, why did he send Jesus to earth?
