What's up with Trinity and One God?... Answers to the “Part 1” of my question showed that you could only believe in one of the two points raised by my question: Either God is one or God is a Trinity. You simply cannot believe in both. Most detailed answers presented metaphors to explain how three equals one. Ok, by itself, Trinity seems just fine. John, Jane and their son Joe are three distinct persons but they are one family. That is fine, but they are not one “Person”. They are three distinct persons. True, together they form a family but a family is not a person. So The Father, The Son and The Ghost are three distinct Gods, and yes, together they form a “family” of Gods, but not a single God. So by looking at Trinity in a vacuum, it makes good sense. There are three distinct Gods, and together they form the Godhead. But they are still three persons, acting in agreement but not physically one. To make them one physically, people start using metaphors and long-winded jargon.

This is done because they realize that the Bible, the Torah and the Quran don’t speak of God as a multi-part entity but stresses that God is unique, indivisible, non-sharing, and very, very singular in nature. They realize that Jesus spoke of the Father as if the Father was a separate entity: John 14:28 “the Father is greater than I”, Mark 12:29 “Here, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord”, John 7:16 "My teaching is not mine but His who sent me”, and my favorite, John 5:30, “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek to do not my own will but the will of Him who sent me.” The reason Jesus consistently speaks of God as someone other than himself is because God is someone other than Jesus himself.

Can anyone show me a statement by Jesus himself saying that he is God and that we should worship him? The statement should be in Jesus’ own words, not a dream, or a vision by someone else and certainly not an implied meaning. It should be clear like this:

Torah:
"I am the LORD, and there is none else, beside Me there is no God" (Isaiah 45:5)

Quran:
"Such is God, your Lord; there is no god but He, the Creator of all things; so, worship Him (and Him alone), and He has charge of all things. (Quran 6:102)

Remember, you cannot defend two diametrically opposing positions. Trinity draws its power from pagan Romans and yes by bringing the two together, in a twisted way, we united the Christians and the Romans back then, but now you can’t explain this flaw in God’s oneness. Please stick with the original teachings you may do better

I'm a Christian, but have been told that I'm not because I don't believe in trinity.

There is but one God. God The Father.
The Holy Trinity is not three "distinct" Gods. Jesus and The Holy Spirit are FROM God The Father. ( Jesus being the only "human", being born of The Blessed Mother).
I know it's hard to understand. It took years of education, and I simply can't write all that I have learned.
May I suggest you read a Bible? Maybe that would help you understand better.

No argument here. Christians need the trinity idea to try and show Jesus as being as much of a god as the Father, even though there is scant biblical evidence of this. Notice how the Jews don't believe in anything like this... because there is no old testament evidence without a gigantic stretch of the imagination.

If this was a rock hard biblical principle, then there never would have been Arianists and Christian Gnostics.

you're question was too long to read but the answer is that there is a divine trinity and God is the head of that and they work as a triumpherant as equals the three of them to make decisions, though God the father is the main head of it to be worshipped. jesus the son, and the holy spirit are the other 2 persons of God in the God head deity but GOd is the head, do you get it.

This is true God the Eternal Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost or Spirit are three different being. Jesus Christ was not praying to Himself. But the they have the same purpose, they teach same with no variation. What Christ will say the Father will say. What the Father, will say Christ will say. The Holy Ghost or Spirit will comfirm what they say.

Yes it is possible for the Trinity to be one God because that is exactly what God is. God is the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost.

honestly I have to say that I was brought up to believe trinity but I still don't really understand it all so instead of stressing over it all I say that if you believe in the Bible and you obey God weather as one person or three then you should be fine if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and have given your life to him I don't think God is really going to send you to hell over something like trinity or oneness just obey and you'll be fine

God is three persons in one, (Father, Son,Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit) period. You do not have to understand or explain it, just, by faith, believe it. God is God. He can be anything He wants to be. He doesn't have to ask anyone anything.

The usual explanation is that God is one, but has three aspects. Sort of like blind men trying to explore an elephant: there is the trunk, the feet, and the tail, but it's just one elephant. I find the entire topic to be nitpickery and a waste of time.
