World Peace is an illusion.

Stop wasting your time worrying about something that has never, nor will it ever happen.
Human beings are born competitors. There is always someone to blame. Whether it's black, white, female, poor, rich.....there will always be a scapegoat for someone.

God doesn't make war - people do.

People who believe that God chooses specifically THEM, or a SPECIFIC GROUP of people are not just arrogant, they're simple. They don't have the intelligence to see that people in power support that brainwashing for their own ends.

It's a lot like a child who will "do good," honestly believing that the reason is because he's a good little boy. In reality, he fears punishment and likes the pats on the back.

That doesn't mean that the kid is bad. He just hasn't matured to the stage of understanding the concept of GOOD FOR THE SAKE OF GOOD. To the child, it's all about approval vs. disapproval.

THAT'S WHY MOST PEOPLE GO WITH THE MAJORITY RELIGION IN THE PART OF THE WORLD THEY LIVE.

well, you've prolly heard before that god answers all prayers.

on the surface that appears untrue. i ask for a big gob of money to land in my lap and it doesn't happen. wassup with that, god?!

but the bible actually talks about prayers offered up in humility and worshipfulness being answered.

what this means in practice is that if your prayer is not offered up correctly it won't even be considered. when it IS, when a believer says a prayer, god knows 1. whether they really need it 2. how to help them realize what they prayed for wasn't really what they wanted 3. every intermediary step needed to reach the goal of that prayer - which may take 10,000 years (if god doesn't interfere with free will)

I'm not going to make any excuses for old brimstone flingin' Jehovah, but I think this one has to be chalked up to good, old fashioned human stupidity. I tend to believe that the gods throw down a challenge and human beings have to take up that challenge. If you simply rely upon the gods to make the situations AND provide the solutions, there isn't much left to call a life of your own. If you want to pray for anything, pray for the wisdom to understand what you should do to help this situation and the strength to follow through.

God hears all prayers. Sometimes His answer is not yet or no. If you believe the prophecies in Revelation, wars and national strife will increase massively just prior to Jesus' return.

the bible says there would be no peace in this world; therefore that prayer is amissed becuase it is not in his will. However, God will give believers peace that surpass all understanding in the midst of the world.

Ah yes...good ol' freewill......He has heard our prayers, but it is up to all the idiots down here to figure it out....after all, it's people who got everyone in this mess....not God. I believe He is shaking His head right now wondering how it got this bad and why people didn't listen to His whispers to take the right path in the first place.
