The Good thing about war is how to get rid of the people who doesn't have any work to do and the criminals from their countries, by sending them to the wars,,,thanks to USA....

At this point a draft is highly highly highly unlikely. We would more likely not go to war than re-instate the draft.
That being said if we were directly provoked,attacked or some other event caused us to go into a large scale war, a draft would be instated to protect the country, but only as a near last resort.
For the first part of your question, i dont have specific numbers, but i know they have relaxed many requirements for joining the armed forces because recruitment has not hit its targets for a while. THats why we currently have a backdoor draft where people who have completed their military time are being called back, and forced into longer tours of duty.

I don't think they release how many people join the military each year. There will not be a draft. Rich politicians don't want the possibility of their kids having to fight in a war so they just trick the poor people to join up. I am not saying the military is bad but most of the enlisted people were very poor.

i come from a small town w/ about 200 students in the high school.my class has 54 student and bout half are guys. half of the guys in my class are going to boot camp this summer and are joining some branch of the military. i dont think that there will be a draft b/c there are so manny people that support the war or are just willing to go over to do wuts right for the country

The country will never have a draft.. The military is very particular on who they let join

From what I understand is there is a shortage. I remember on some investigation show like 20/20 or NBC prime time investigation they had a kid that smoked pot and when he went into an army recruiting center he told the recruiter that he smoked pot. The recruiter had him go get a kit that would clean the sample that way he could get him into the army. So from that I conclude that they are pretty desperate to get more people into the army and for the recruiters to reach their quota. I am not to sure about a draft though.

I think after 9/11 ...alot of Americans were pissed off and the number of recuits increased dramatically...however due to recent war in Iraq, I would have to think the new recuits are few and far between.
As far as a draft...i sure hope not...if we need to resort to a draft and drag people overseas to fight who don't wanna go...then we will lose any war fought like that....its always best to go to war with well trained militaries who want to enlist and be there. Think about it ..who would you want to have your back in combat?
