I've been trying to gain weight for a while, but been unsucuessful. I eat fat foods and it doesn't work and also been eating more recently. None of these have worked. Does genatics or metabolism have anything to do with it?

I would go on a protien supplement 3 times a day, as well as increase you calories to about 3000 a day. if you want to gain healthy weight i would go to the gym at least 4 days a week and talk to a trainer, he or she could aid you in your quest to gain weight. Depending on ur age could cause you to have an increased metabolism, but with age and time you will gain weight.

Of course metabolism has something to do with it. There was a time I could eat anything I wanted and not gain an ounce.

as long as you are healthy, some people just don't get fat. eat lots of grain, bread, pasta, rice, cheese, butter, ice cream and have bigger servings. basically, eat like a pig and eat like there's no tomorrow.
