Ahhh... I just love the profound ignorance that questions such as this bring forth.

One said : "No it is a Theory and we could not evolve if the apes are still here."

another said: "If anyone thinks evolution is true, then why isn't it still happening, if we evolve from slime or monkeys then where are the ones that haven't completed yet, where are the 1/2 ape 1/2 man, or 1/2 slime and 1/2 frog or a 1/2 frog 1/2 monkey."

another: "To Morons: Don't you think that if we actually, in fact, evolved from monkeys, we would no longer have any monkeys left on this stupid planet?"

another: "If we evolved from apes, why are there still apes? And why haven't we actually seen an ape evolve into a human?"

another: "otherwise if we came from monkeys why are there still monkeys,..."

LOL. It's like these idiots are so used to magical thinking (talking snakes and donkeys and such) that they apply this magical thinking to their twisted, distorted, inane and nonsensical concept of evolution (using whatever bizarre mental process it is that serves them as a substitute for reason) to figure out that if an evolutionary change should occur within an isolated population of monkeys in Madagascar, for example, then all monkeys, worldwide, should be magically transformed into the new species... or else, magically disappear. Since observation tells them that magical events like that do not happen, and the other types of monkeys remain as they were, 'magical common sense' then informs them that evolution must be false.

What a bunch of morons. Such must be life at the shallow end of the gene pool, wallowing in abject ignorance... and being totally oblivious to it.

Hey, people... READ A FRIGGIN' BOOK.

If you want to believe that you evolved from slime, into an ape and then a person, thats ok.

Glad I don't think that about myself.

If anyone thinks evolution is true, then why isn't it still happening, if we evolve from slime or monkeys then where are the ones that haven't completed yet, where are the 1/2 ape 1/2 man, or 1/2 slime and 1/2 frog or a 1/2 frog 1/2 monkey.

If evolution was true, it would never stop.

1. I am a Christian.

2. I have no problem with evolution, except the "problem" that I have with many theories: The theory of evolution is incomplete and therefore not proven. This is why it is still called a theory.

3. I have no problems with theories in general, nor with the theory of evolution in particular, but I do have a problem with ignorant people who assume that the theory of evolution is proven fact. Any scientist will tell you that it is a theory.

4. Evolution may very well have happened, just as the scientists say it did. If so, I still have no problem with it. It doesn't contradict the Bible. The Bible says that God created the world in six days. God's day may look like a million years to us earthlings. No one knows how God perceives time, if he does at all. God is outside of time. "Day" in the Bible, in the story of creation, is a word borrowed from the temporal plane to describe something that took place outside of time.

5. You are assuming that--if evolution is true--physical evolution brings with it, as a direct result, intellectual evolution. You are claiming that I, a Christian, have not evolved. You are saying that I have hairy knuckles and arms that touch the ground when I walk, AND you are also referring to your belief that my intellect is stunted as well. You are attempting to assault my intellect in the misguided belief that somehow the stalled evolution of my body is commensurate with the stalled evolution of my mind. What you are not taking into consideration is that if you believe I am unevolved, then you are talking to an ape--someone who looks like an ape and thinks like an ape.

6. If you are going to throw evolution around, I suggest that you understand the implications. What is implied here is that you believe that it is perfectly reasonable for an evolved, enlightened person like yourself to talk to apes (Christians) and ask them to be self-reflective. For one must be self-reflective and have a working knowledge of language in order to answer your question.

7. You. Are. A. Genius. I bow before you, O superior life-form.

Christians believe in evolution. Microevolution is a scientific fact that refers to the changes that organisms make to adapt to their environment. This is the part that all of the world sees eye to eye on.

Darwinian theory of Macroevolution, or the adaptation from one genetic species to another, has never become scientific fact because it has never been observed scientifically at any scale even once in the entire recorded period of human history. It cannot even be artifically duplicated in a controlled environment.

The agreed up on criteria for establishing scientific evidence is, in small part, reliant on the theory being observable, empirical, having measurable evidence, and being subject to laws of reasoning. To date, macroevolution has not been able to accomplish this once.

I am always amused by individuals that just blindly and routinnely accept what they are told as fact without thinking for themselves. This goes both for the ultra right Christians and Ultral left "Enlightened" liberals.

actually no

Its a problem of looking at the same data bringing different assumptions to the data

There is also some agreement Christian agree in animal adaptation, aka micro evolution and also allow adaptions for the fall

EXAMPLE macro evolution - cow to whale and T Rex to Tweety (naturalistic evolutionists even have trouble swallowowing some of these theories if the truth be known)

EXAMPLE micro evolution - darwins finches (everyone agrees start with birs and end with birds slightly better adapted)

EXAMPLE neither - peppered moths (start with dark and light mothes and end with dark and light moths)

Frankly accepting macro evolutionis also a problem of evolutionists overstating the conclusions, in some ways macro evolution is the emporers new clothes of the 21st century

Excellent link!
And a very good question. Most of us have grown up not just physically but mentally as well. We have rejected the childish notions of Santa Claus, leprechauns and the Tooth Fairy yet these people cannot let go of the biggest imaginary fabrication of all; god.
Personally I just feel sorry for them.

Amy Lynne, was that a real question or are you really that stupid?

To atheists, is your problem with faith related to the fact that you have a hopeless and meaningless existence that ends in your death?

Incidentally-- I BELIEVE in evolution, but I also believe it and God are not mutually exclusive. Truly evolving means understanding THAT possibility-- not insisting one side is correct and the other is foolish. Let's see if YOU can evolve to that level.

No, my beef is how they use a mutation, conveniently called 'micro-evolution' and use that as proof of use evolving from monkeys. A mutation is not evolution. A mutation proves absolutely nothing. It is the biggest scam going on planet Earth.

yeah i guess we never evolved thus proving our point. you walked right into that.

otherwise if we came from monkeys why are there still monkeys, and as for cave men, those were the men not made in God's image that lucifer ruled over in the first earth that was destroyed because of sin and rebellion and it was made dark and everything was destroyed because satan led them all to sin. then in genesis 1:2 it says the earth was without form and void and was dark and stuff which means that stuff happened before God rstored the earth and then making man perfect, but he fell, then jesus came to redeem us.
