It's perfectly acceptable. Some people prefer to work hard at school so that they can get into a good university instead of gallavanting around with random dates. I wish I would have put more of my attention into school myself, but apparently whatever I did put into school was sufficient as I had perfect marks, got into the university I wanted, etc. However, at the same time, I just feel like I wasted a lot of time on girls. Each person has to decide how much time they want to devote to either a bf or school.

This balance is just different for certain people; for example, maybe you want to pay more attention to a bf while she wants to pay more attention to school. It's up to the individual, but keep in mind that school is for learning, not for making dates.

Let's organize the facts:
She's 17
Never been kissed
Never had a BF

Conclusion:
Based on the given facts nothing is wrong with her. My sisters-in-laws are in their 20s, never had BFs. (not sure about the kissing part) Both are very successful, pursuing their dreams.

Oh, to be innocent again!

No there's nothing wrong at all she's just moving at the pace she wants. Usually after high school and you don't kiss anyopne or have a boyfriend it all changes when you get to college. She's just a late bloomer and you shouldn't push her or make her feel bad that she hasn't kissed or had a boyfriend.

I'm a 20 year old guy that hasn't had a relationship, a kiss, nor a date for that matter. Honestly it depends on the person. Personally, I'm just waiting for the right person to come along, I'm not rushing into anything.

When I was in middle school i was far from cool. I went to High School and I was captain of the cheerleading team, on Homecoming court, vice-president of the class... I didnt get my first kiss till the end of my freshman year (almost summer time). I didnt rush it. I did run from a few relationships cause I was scared... hehe

There is nothing wrong with her. It isn't a "duty" to be kissed at that age. I know perfectly normal persons who had their first kiss at the age of 23 and they still were perfectly alright.

There is nothing wrong with her - and as to the other girls: They are stupid and superficial - if she hasn't met the right one yet, she will meet him later.

No, she is probably more mature than a lot of teens and knows that sex (even kissing) is something that should not be taken lightly.

I say "Kudo" for her for not giving in to pressure by starting any type of relationship so early in life.

And those girls that talk behind her back... they're just meanies. Not worth your breath to talk to.

Maybe it just hasnt happened for her yet!! If people your age are still making fun of people for something like that, they are immature. Just make sure you act like a good friend to her. Im sure there is nothing wrong with her. It'll happen, but if everyone makes her feel like something is wrong with her, think about how uncomfortable it will make her feel about it. Its not a big deal.

shes just smart, and not a sl*t.

Sweety, there's nothing wrong with your friend. She's just not ready yet, and when she is, she will know what to do. So dont worry about it. My first time (noth my first kiss and first intercourse) was with my now-ex-husband, and it was after we got married, so she just needs some time to figure out who she is and what she wants.
Good Luck!

Nothing is wrong with her.

Maybe she is a bit sensible than the rest of them and has better things on her mind right now other than having her first kiss.
