It's like becoming a Nobel Prize winner. You put in such hard work day in and day out, but when you win and get the applause and see the fruit of your labour coming into action and helping out millions, you forget all the tiredness, and you say, it was a long journey but it was worth it.
For a lover it might be the hand of his beloved, you know. After all the hardships he goes through to marry that pretty dame, he wins her. And says, it was a long journey but worth the struggle and wait.

I started to say but upon reading it , it really does not make sense.

Unless to say it was a long trip but the trip was so great it was worth going.

A destination cant be long. It is an ending to travel or journey.
( look up the word destination and journey.)

That the destination isn't the end all-be all of existence. Sometimes we need to stop in the everyday rush of things and appreciate the small blessings and beauty in our lives-it is there. Sometimes the journey takes you in a different path than you thought you would originally take, and you learn lessons and find love and heartache and joys along the way.
