I know kids talk a lot. I used to teach preschool. I have NEVER been around a child that talks as much as this one. SERIOUSLY. I am not over reacting, and I swear it is more than normal, many other people have said so also. From the minute she wakes up till the minute she goes to bed. She constantly is moving, talking etc. She also follows you around everywhere and is unable to play by herself. Has anyone ever had this experience? What did you come up with?

Turn on a good movie and give her something suck on . That will keep her quiet for atleast 45 minutes.

It comes with being three. I smile graciously, listen closely and answer as much as I can. You may not believe me now, but this burden you will long for not many days from now. Your daughter will turn 14 or 15 and stop talking altogether. Let her know that there is a time when mommy needs to take a quiet moment.
We have quiet time in my house. There are times when we all must sit still an dbe quiet for three minutes, you may start with a minute. Make it a game. My toddlers can actually remain quiet for about an hour without talking at all. They can read a book, draw, paint, but they can't talk.

She is 3 just love her. That is what 3 year olds do. My daughter is 3 and is much the same. It is better that she is talking, than being one of those little shut ins that never speaks. And look at it this way if she ever does anything wrong she will probably tell on her self.

I'm looking at your statement that she is unable to play by herself. She may need to be evaluated for Attention Deficit. Children as young as 18 months can play by themselves for short periods of time. A 2 year old can play by themself for 10 minutes. A 3 year old should be able to do 10 minutes as well.
If it's Attention Deficit, then you should be able to get help on techniques you can do to assist her focus.

Do you listen to her? That's all she needs. Kinda like how kids will keep saying, "Mom...mom...mom...MOM" when their parent ignores them.

Ask questions. Show interest. It's great that she wants to communicate with people and you should encourage that. Just make sure she knows when it is appropriate to be quiet.

Think about trying to have a conversation with a guy. They just listen (barely) and never engage and never show interest and only give short answers. All the woman wants is for him to be engaged, so she keeps talking. The guy thinks she just wants to talk. Same with the kid.

You know what, you just need to let her do it, it is healthy she will learn many things from you. It means she loves you and is interested in what you are doing. Use this time with her, help her mind expand, do arts and crafts talk to her listen to her story's no matter how outrages they may seem, the more you talk with her the more she learns.

She is talking because she wants attention. Give her the attention she wants. Little kids at that age have alot to say. They are learning new things and want to know new things so they are going to talk.

Maybe try to have conversations back. Kids that have good vocabulary will be good readers, and intellectual speakers when they grow older. Can she read? Try to get her to read....

Start punishing her by taking away her favorite things if she won't stop.
