They are just getting it together at that age...most kids don't even have the green poop by week two...yes call doctor...may have to add water to the child's diet, also you may have a kid with what mine had, a bowel disorder. Check with DR to make sure they don't have a serious blockage or something, xray should find out pretty quickly. Just because you go everyday or more than once a day, doesn't mean your offspring will perform as you. Being brand new also has it's problems...that first month is hard on a kid's system. Monitor it with a DR's care to be safe.

Take a little asfoetida and mix a little coconut oil or baby oil in it to make a fine paste. Apply the paste on belly button (navel) of the infant and wait for 2 to 3 hours. motion will come. Keeping warm cloth fold over the belly would also expedite the result. If infant is on breast feed, the problem should not come. IT is only formula feed that causes such problems.

Formula with iron will cause that. You can put a tiny amount like 1/4 teaspoon corn syrup in their bottle and it will solve the problem. I have 4 children. My youngest was not breast fed and I had the same problem. Dr. recommended cure.

some children that young can go up to two weeks without pooping, especially if their brestfed. If the child is constantly crying or looks to be having gas pains, call the doctor. Otherwise, wait another week to see what happens.

Babies can go 5-7 days without a bowel movement at that age, sometimes they just don't know how to push yet. Contact your baby's doctor before you do anything.
