Last week I dyed my hair black. It looks really good on the top but the ends turned out REALLY dark. I wanted a natural black and it is just to harsh on the ends. Can I re-dye my hair a shade lighter or will it mess it up worse than it already is? My normal hair color is dark brown.

i wouldn't mess with it yourself anymore. go to a salon and have a professional do it.

You need to wait a while because if keep on putting color in your hair, it will fall striaght out. so wait about 2 months before you put more color in your hair. That will give your hair a breathe.

The reason the ends are darker is because your hair was porous and/or damaged. Condition the living crap out of it and use some good shampoo and conditioner. Eventually it will fade.

Don't mess too much with it because you could really damage your hair. I would suggest going to a salon to see what they can do.

have you tried clarify shampoo? it might help lessen the effect. you should probably wait a week or so before re-dyeing it so that your hair doesn't get fried.

you should consult a local hair beautician.
i wouldn't try anything until i'm positive. get a couple of opinions and if you can, get it done by a specialist rather than doing it yourself because they know what'll suit you.
