why is that i need help they bite he has hurt my chihuahuas leg three times and i am afraid he will do some serious damage to his poor legs.

You didn't say what kind of dog the other boy dog is. Could they be playing ?? How old are they ??

One thing that might work for you ... get a water pistol/gun. When the one seems to be playing a little too aggressively, shoot some water at him, near the face, but watch for his ears. This will avert his attention from the chihuahua momentarily, but maybe long enough to let the little one get away or for you to grab the little one out of harms way. But only if he's playing too aggressively. Will give him the idea that it isn't approprate behavior.

Do you separate them when you go out so they can't do this when you're not home ??

Sometimes multiple male dogs will not get along at first because the are BOTH trying to establish ALPHA male status. They may just need time to get used to each other but if it doesen't stop you need to trade one for a female.
