It makes me sick to think that an innocent animals has to die because idiots don't know or want to do the decent thing. We have brains and should use them to be civilized and compassionate yet violence seems to be the answer for some.

I like Yahoo Answers but it makes me sick when someone ask for help on strays and I see so many that respond with shot it or drown it.

People who kill or abuse their own animals is horrible and I think they should die (my personal opinion) becuz an animal is a living, breathing thing and they have feelings too, but are you also including using euthanasia on animals in places like shelters, etc.? Even though a lot of the animals that are euthanized are quite healthy and still have a while to live, there is really no other choice. There are so many animals in the world that don't have a home or don't have anybody to love them, and people keep letting their pets get pregnant and have babies, over and over again, without getting them fixed and I think it's wrong becuz they give away the kittens or puppies to people who want a pet and the people could of adopted a cat or dog from the shelter.

I'm assuming you're talking about the destruction of healthy animals.
In a perfect world, pets would only be given to good, responsible people who would love and care for them in the best way. Five minutes with your eyes open will tell you we don't live in a perfect world.
So animals are overbred. Stupid people get pets they aren't prepared for. Pets get lost, go feral, etc.
Those of us who ARE responsible and caring, don't have the time and money to clean up the mistakes others make. So we make the best choice we can in the circumstances. It's better that the animal die, then it be left to fend for itself in the wild, becuase there it will:
a) bred, perpetuating the problem
b) die, perhaps by starving, perhaps by being killed by a human, another animal, etc.
c) survive by supplanting/destroying a native species.
But you're right, it is a shame.

For some people, animals are just pets and are replicable, killing an animal vs. doing surgery is more cost efficient. Its wrong, but some people don't have the money to flop down 2-3 grand for a dog they got for free. It just depends how much you love the animal or if you actually have the money.

No they do not think it is the solution but it sure get rid of the problem. Human are basically cruel, greedy and all the rest of the 7 sins.

I'm with you! If half of these morons were to be more responsible and get animals spayed or neutered, we wouldn't be over run, and these problems could be resolved!

If I am in danger of being killed, the logical answer is to kill. Self-defense is a good justification for killing.

so, your saying that if hitler was still alive, you wouldn't kill him, after mor tehan a million deaths of jews, yes we humans so times turn to violence to much, , but sometimes their are neccisary times to be violent
