whynotaskdon, your username should be DON'Taskdon. The sheer ammount of B.S. you "contribute" about the Qur'an and Prophet Muhamad is incredible. This is the third time you've quoted the same verse, a verse to which I carefully and diligently replied to just yesterday. And yet, you still continue to wave it around as a weapon against Islam. Within five seconds, I bet I can pull out AT LEAST TEN quotes from the Bible that express violence against those who do not follow Christianity.
I've said this before, and I'll say it again. Surah 9, verse 5 is ONLY in regards to those pagans at the time of Muhamad who backed out of agreements that they'd had with Muslims. They were TRAITORS. And as for those pagans who kept their word, Allah tells Muhamad to deal with them kindly and to give them sanctuary if they ask for it. That much alone disproves everything you've said so far.
You are a walking persona of everything that Jesus DID NOT teach. Mindlessly bashing another religion is not what Jesus taught, and even I, a Muslim, have read the Bible enough to know that much. Either say something with a grain of truth to it, or be silent. The only thing you're accomplishing is a show of ignorance.

I don't understand the question, but the holy Quran is the true preserved word of God, which in addition to be a guide for Muslims it is meant to be a miracle for people of all times and every where. For the ancient Arabs superior linguistic capabilities were their business, so the Quran challenged them in this area and surpassed them in superiority that now it is considered a class by it self. For non Arabs at this time when advanced scientific discoveries are the main feature of this era, again the holy Quran excels in these areas as can be recognized by testimonies of prominent scholars in their fields as Professor Keith Moore in Embryology. My point is the Quran build in a way that it carries many meanings that may change with time. For example verse 6:125 mentions a description of high altitude or mountain disease in a very seamless way that we understand it today and people before us will understand it in a different way.

Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) practiced the quran and explained it in detail. The Hadeeth which are his sayings and actions are complementary commentary on the Quran. But as its said in the quran, that he doesnt utter any word from his mouth. Instead its a revelation from ALLAH (Almighty GOD) which he explained to the people.
Any person with a good intention can reap good benefit from the quran. He can just take any Tafseer (explanation) from reputed scholars that base it from knowledgeable companions who were authorized from the prophet himself as persons possesing the best knowledge on quran.
To know more about the Quran i suggest you to first watch this video in order to verify and affirm that the Quran Indeed is a word of GOD.

Come on people stop attacking other people`s religion just because you cannot prove that your own holy book is still the original...
coming back to question: Quran has everything for all different occasions, but it is not to be taken out of context.everything happened at a certain time for a certain reason, so that`s why it tells muslims to fight at that age when they were under attack.What do you expect GOD to tell them to keep your heads down so they can walk all over you, kill your women, your children.It`s one thing to kill unjust, and it`s another to defend..probably that`s what american conservatives either don`t understand, or don`t want other people to understand..So stop all this b**s*** and be happy that you r alive, healthy, and have all the blessings of GOD, instead of attcking GOD`s religions, start working on your selves, and everything will come to perspective..

Qur'an explain this better. There are two types of verses in Qur'an the basic with clear meanings which are the foundation of faith and then there are verses with allegorcial verses which meaning is only known to God. The people who don't have faith always will follow the allegorical verses instead of clear verses which are the foundation of Islam.

Quite a few desert people could read Arabic.
The total thought of the Qurán is summed up in;
Qurán 9:5
""The Verse of the Sword""
"" Fight and slay the pegans wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem""
This shows the LOVE and PEACE that this book and islam is all about!
