Actually, the history of Palestine and Israel has been pretty much the muslims moving more and more over Israel. Zionists have been moving to Palestine since the 1800's. So the Jews havent just been there since World War II. Eventually, when the Turks were defeated with the Germans, the Middle East was carved up by the French and British, creating an area called Palestine, which is today Jordan and Israel together. Eventually, Israel, or a quarter of Palestine was given to the Jews, and THREE QUARTERS of Palestine was given to the Muslims. But that wasnt good enough for them. So they invaded Israel, but have been repeatedly defeated and occupied by Israel. However, Israel is determined to try and get along with the people who are trying to wipe them off the map and gave the Muslims all of their territory back, which includes all of the Sinai Peninsula. The Muslims are just so fanatic and unforgiving about their religious wars and infidels that they will never give up until all of Israel is theirs. Its pretty ridiculous, but its the truth, look it up.

Regretfully, the opponents (not terrorists from their perspective--please reframe your questions in the future to avoid bias and leading the discussion, if you are serious about this.) would attack.
Israel is profoundly guilty of nearly endless crimes against humanity, violations of the Rights of Man agreement and dozens of UN resolutions and the most dasterly war crimes in all of recorded history. There is no people on Earth who are noble enough to forgive the jews without there being extraordinary gestures of peace (so far-reaching that I cannot imagine what they could be) and expressions of heart-renting regret from Israel--and I don't see these forecoming either--and merely tossing their weapons into the sea isn't 1/1,000,000th enough.
Israel's history and subsequent actions since 1948 may, indeed, mean that it can NEVER live in peace where it is. Israel stands condemned before all of mankind and history as a monster state.

If Israel would ever disarm, than they would lose their land before the weapons had even broken the surface of the sea. Every time that Israel has protected itself and won wars the UN has made them give back all of the territory taken and than had to give even more intuitive to the people that they have defeated. This is the only country in the world that can not win no matter what it does. It moves to recognize the Palestinian government than they elect terrorists to run it. They move out of Lebanon, and the Lebanese starts another war with them than complains that they did not mean to and still will not turn over the soldiers that they illegally captured on Israeli soil that violates all of the rules of Geneva. I am tired of the people who violate the Geneva convention forcing others to abide by it.

and may i ask ... what do you mean by "terrorists"?! why do people keep throwing it around wherever they damn please? so "Israel" is good and anyone opposing it is a "terrorist"? what kind of logic is that? Does that mean the IRA are terrorists? what about US soldiers in Iraq? whenever two countries or groups or even two people get in a fight (which u know nothing about and u dont really know who's right and who's wrong) which one is the terrorist?! do u even know the DEFENITION of the word?
If you had a house and someone just came and said it was his house and took it from you, wouldn't try to get your house back?! what if he said u can have one room in the house? how's that?! would you think "oh how nice of him" and be grateful? if you got in a fight with him, and punched him in the jaw .. can i call u a terrorist?

The Palestinians cry used to be, "Land for Peace!" So Israel gave the Gaza Strip back and the Palestinians fired rockets into Israel from there. Do you think Israel can do ANYTHING to please the Palestinians?
