5'9 isn't tall, but 205 is WAY overweight. Don't kid yourself, 10 pounds isn't even going to be noticed on someone that really needs to lose 75.

At 130, she would have a normal BMI of 19.2, and not the obese BMI rating of 30.3.

There arn't any 'curves' here, just FAT.

I am (female, 13 years old) 5ft tall and I weight roughly 125lbs. I consider myself as very fat. I know that sounds mad when you weight almost 100lbs more than me. Everyone says I have nice legs and nice ankles and a nice bum, but I have a big belly, a double chin and a little fat on my upper arms. I wear a size 10 but in skinny dresses I wear a size 12-14. I think that 205 is quite large and you should consider losing about 75-100lbs and then you would have a really flat stomach and really nice legs. What do you eat? If you eat lots of carbs and chocolate and fried foods then you have a problem. Breakfast should be toast and jam or low fat cereal, have rice or pasta for lunch and have something decent for dinner. Fry your stuff in fry light spray instead of oil and grill wherever you can. Hope this helps!

Given the height yes it is a decent size. My fiance is a size 14 at 5'4" and she looks great. She isn't big at all just naturally large framed. The person has 5" on her so they are probably of the same build.

The recommend weight range for a large framed female being 5'9" is between 155-170 so she is not far off.

Besides tell your friend not to worry about what others think. If she is Happy and Healthy thats all that matters.

My wife is 6' tall and weighs 160-165 and typically wears a 12. Your friend sounds like she's quite heavy to me and losing 10 pounds shouldn't change a size for her unless she's on the border or wears her clothes tight JUST to fit in a smaller size. Size and weight are just numbers... it boils down toi health... how "healthy" is she? Can she run around the block or climb a few flights of stairs without passing out from exhaustion? Personal choice... I think she is not a nice size. Travel to another country and count how many overweight people you find!

Only another overweight person would tell you otherwise... honestly!

It is not a "decent" size, it is a BEAUTIFUL size!! This woman has all the right curves in all the right places, why would she even question that and want to lose weight just to fit in a smaller size. As long as there is no health problems involved in wanting to lose 10 pounds, I would say forget it because you are beautiful the way you are now.

No, even using the most lenient weight scale & calculations for that height with & a large bone frame she is considered at an unhealthy weight.
Calculations run anywhere from 117.7 - 159, the ideal being 139 -143 pounds. From what I heard one can add one additional pound per a year over the age of thirty. Even with those exceptions she would still be considered as overweight.

205 is still pretty big.
it depends on BMI or body fat percentage really.
you can look those things up on the web. self magazine www.self.com has a section where you can find your healthy weight for your height.
it will depend on how muscular you are & your bone structure.
i dont want to quote a "size", but honestly she would probably look good at size 10-12. (i'm 5-9 also & I'm a size 8)

I don't have any problem with it. I guess it depends on how the weight is carried and if it is muscle or flab.

Medically, the Body Mass index for someone of those proportions is 30.3.

Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

So perhaps losing ten pounds is a healthy choice.

As long as she knows how to dress, then a 16 can be sexy. She just cant be wearing nothing a size 5 female would wear.

She's on the heavy side. A female should have a body fat content of around 20 - 25% (lower if you're an athlete), so get her to check that. That will tell her more accurately than anything else.
