I would take the cat to get neutered, but don't tell the owner. That would solve the problem.
But if you don't want to do that then keep the cat inside...which you should anyway if want your cat to be safe.
Killing is not the solution!!!

Fill out a police report and contact the city pound or local animal control and have that nasty cat put away. Or get yourself a Pellet gun and pop it a few times in the hind end for while. Or stop letting your cat out for a while or when you do let it out stay with it and if the other cat comes around kick it in the head.

Contact any local rescue groups or humane societies to see if they have trap and release programs, and just get him neutered, she will never know the difference. Other option is to keep your cat indoors. We built an enclosure for our cats so they could be outdoors and not roaming the neighborhood, or subject to other animals coming in our yard.

Call your local animal shelter and begin to train your cat to stay inside. Perhaps buy/build an outdoor kennel run for your kitty. We live on a very busy street and a kennel works well for us... our Zaboo loves it as it has a roof and he can climb all over it.

Good luck,

P.S. cat hate the smell of orange.... perhaps you are put orange peels around your property.

Our cat was attacked on a regular basis by our neighbours tom cat toooo! he was soo agressive.. the best thing to do is catch him yourself and bring him to the vets to have him neutered. it will save your cat the agony of future cat bite abceses. That's what we did to our neighbours cat after we had vet bills over €400. Have your vet give you a cat trap.
