Its stupid, and God does not want us to put ourselves in danger deliberately. He does not like for us to test Him. Just ask that guy who jumped into the lion's den a few months ago in front of all those people and their children at the zoo saying..

"If there is a God, He will keep me from getting killed by this lion,just before the lion crushed his head with her mouth". God gave us all common sence and to know the difference between right and worng, saftey or danger. With the exception of those who are mentally challenges by birth.

Insofar as suicide is a sin, and murder is a sin (I've heard of both variants), unless you're playing with no rounds chambered, it's not looking good.

Yes. We are to protect our bodies. So murder is sinful. And If we miss, we are tempting God (if we believe that He will protect us). Jesus told the devil in the wilderness (when being tempted ) not to tempt God.
