Ok, I have come across countless questions that say, "How come Muslims are so peaceful and don't hate Christians, but Christians hate them." Or "Christians act better then us, they think they are better then us." Anything of that nature, well let me tell you something, they are NOT REAL CHRISTIANS. And it makes me angry that these STEREOTYPICAL CHRISTIANS have give us REAL CHRISTIANS such a bad reputation.

A REAL CHRISTIAN is Humble, Loves other people and other races, forgives people no matter what, and is always faithful to God.

The stereotypical Christian which most of you have seen and ask questions about, Does NOT love God, does not give a rat's a$$ about the Bible, is NOT HUMBLE but VERY PRIDEFUL, and HATES whoever is different.

Do not be fooled into believing the STEREOTYPICAL Christians are real Christians. They just want to be called Christians. They are not.

Remember, Real christians are humble, loving, and care for one another. I hope it is more clear now.

God Bless.

You just did exactly the opposite of what you said, you bad mouth people who claim to be Christian while praising Christians. Pointing out the bad in others, while promoting yourself is not humble but boastful and goes against Christianity. Talking bad about them and putting them down is not forgiven, specially when it is in writing, so how are you a forgiving Christian. Face the facts, all people including you a so called Real Christian have faults and sin, so before you go putting other people down, think about what that says about you too.

I don't consider myself a christian....to be quite honest, I don't consider myself anything at the moment....but I think that was a beautiful post which can be applied to many other faiths and walks of life. I applaud you for taking the time to explain your point of view...a very good one...to others who may not have ever known that. This sounds a little hokey but it is a good rule of thumb...."Don't let a few bad apples ruin the bunch". Once again, thank you for your honesty and for delivering your message in a kind and loving way. Take care and I hope you have an amazing day!

Yes, You're absolutely right. But I think what you've been seeing is that Muslims and other religions are feeling the same frustration that you are. Since the spotlight is on them due to the war and acts of terrorism they are feeling very defensive those few people have given their whole religion a bad name.

However, I don't know if I agree that being ignorant is a stereotype of Christianity...I think it's just a case of the pot calling the kettle black...all religions are supposed to be peaceful, it's the people who follow them that are confused.

Actually I do differientiate between real Christians and fanatics. It is sad that the fanatics are so vocal that they've basically become the face of your religion. I'm sure it's gotta make you cringe in embarrassment. I feel for ya.

Don't be too discouraged. The people that matter will be willing to look past stereotypes to judge people as individuals, not by what religion they subscribe to.

Amen, bro!

And, to take a page from the newspapers and TV newsmen who whine about Israeli rockets going off in Christian sections of Beirut--Lebanese Christians tend to be stereotypical. Else why are so many juke joints in the Christian part of the city?

Not really a question, more of a rant. But because you seem to try to impart practical information, I will let it slide this time. Let me address your statement with a question:

Is it considered ok for a REAL CHRISTIAN (caps yours) to cuss and swear? I noticed that quite a bit here on YAs, and even you mentioned a rat's ***, which to me is swearing, while mild. So, since you are in the information giving mode, can you share that as well?

AMEN! I'm glad someone spoke up about the fake CHRISTIANS out there who are just the SUNDAY CHRISTIANS! Some people just want to CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS so they think they are a GOOD PERSON. GOD LOVES THEM, but TRUE CHRISTIANS know the difference between if someone is SAVED and FULL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and someone who is just a GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS CHRISTIAN!

God Bless!

Great post, unfortunately many are not going to listen. It serves their purposes better if they look only at the stereotypical Christian and pretend the real ones don't exist.

I realize that there are two different types of Christians.
The ones that keep it to themselves are okay in my book.
The ones who go around hurting people and make it up to themselves by going to church are the ones who make me sick.
They are usually the same ones whose answer to everything is "It says so in the Bible". That just shows me that they are too lazy to think that there might be more answers elsewhere in life.
I have learned to differentiate the two. So, if I've offended anyone for their Christianity, I'm sorry about it. But it probably means that they shoved in my face.

Good point. I hate being lumped together with the fundamentalist Christian zealots who believe in the rapture and that everyone on Earth should be forcibly converted or they will go to hell. I also don't approve of wars being fought in the name of God and Jesus Christ. I try to be the kind of Christian you described, and try to live my life the way Jesus taught. I honestly think though that they majority of self proclaimed Christians unfortunately don't live by the teachings of Jesus but claim he is their savior.
