Chances are the chocolate bar but this in fact depends on how much sugar is actually in it.Either one could be fattening by invoking a secretion of insulin. The sugar in the grapes is of a slightly longer chain but if you're trying to watch your weight eating an entire bag in one shot is not a good idea. What happens is when you ingest this many calories in one shot your blood sugar will rise causing the secretion of insulin. The insulin will deposit any sugar that cannot be readily stored as glycogen at the time as fat in your adipose tissue. So actually neither on is a good idea if fat is a concern. But i'd bet the entire bag of grapes has the same or more calories as the chocolate though the grapes are healthier.

Fruits are not fattening no matter how much you eat. All diets that I have read say to eat lots of fruit and vegetables.
Chocolate in small amounts is not fattening either. I always allow myself a 100 calories or so worth of chocolate once every few days and I haven't gained weight. I read that chocolate is good for you since it contains certain endorphans that eliviate depression and mood swings. A good diet is one where you don't feel deprived so you are less likey to binge.

Hmm...I would think the small bar of chocolate would be. After all, it's got artificial sugars and grapes have natural sugars. Also, when you diet, they say that if you get cravings, you should reach for fruits or vegetables instead. There has to be a reason they say this, you know.

Depends what diet you are on. On the G.I diet they are both low
grapes contain very little fat so i would say the chocolate would be more fattening, but chocolate is good for you as well every thing in moderation

Most ofter, you will find yourself eating fewer grapes because they contain a great deal of water and as a result they fill you up faster. So I would expect, if you are listening to your body when it says it is full, the grapes would be a better choice.

Well, grapes are much healthier, and a huge bunch will do nothing more than give you the runs. Go with the grapes, but don't eat a huge bunch.

The chocolate is worse. The grapes have sugars but they are natural sugars.
