Marrying does not automatically confer citizenship in any country in the world. She will have to become a resident first, then apply for citizenship when the laws allow her to:

The process is:

- Obtain a spouse visa
- Once she's had the spouse visa for 2 years she can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain.
- Once she's had ILR for one year she can apply for British Citizenship
- Once she has British Citizenship she can obtain a British Passport.

Hope this helps.

what r u studying for 7 years in UK!!!! R u simply 'pretending' to be studying by admitting yourself into some timepass course and then working here? A student can work only 20 hours a week. I am sure u can't support yourself, your wife(she aint working) and kid by working only 20 hours a week. which means u r working full time 40 hours or more a week which is illegal. In a student visa, the years u stay here is not counted for ILR. So even if u get a work permit to work here now, your previous 7 years is not added to it.
