Everyone has their own measure of how long the right time is before asking your partner to marry you, I met my partner in November and by Christmas I knew he was the one for me and we got engaged on my birthday in the April and lived together from the July and married two years later after having one child and expecting another. All I'm trying to say is that if you both feel the time is right go for it and enjoy your life together making every day special and remember never go to bed on an argument always kiss and make up. There is no set amount of time that is enough. For a lot of people, 2 years is plenty of time to know that someone is the one. For others it takes much longer. Think about how you feel about your girlfriend and really decide if you want to spend your life with her. Think about the good times, and the bad times - because there will be bad times - and if you're ready to work through them. Do you feel confident that there is no one out there who will make you as happy as she will? Then go ahead and marry her! Good luck!

You'll know when you're ready. My husband and I got married two years after we met. We'd have done it sooner if we had the money and such, but we weren't quite ready yet...and we got married four months after he proposed.

are you asking how long should you be with someone before you ask them to marry you ?
there is no time limit. do it if you feel ready. Ive been with my G'friend for 21/2 years I proposed to her in February, and we are getting married next July.
